Two Minute Western

Earlier this year I participated in a virtual animation course funded by the BFI. After the learning week, all of the course participants were asked to make an animation to be shown to the group. Here is the animation I made.

RIP MF DOOM (1971 – 2020)

I’ve been listening to MF DOOM’s music quite a lot recently, so I was saddened to hear of his passing. As a tribute to the unique and influential artist, I thought I would post a tape transfer I made for my brother’s Christmas Card.

The original image was from the photoshoot for the cover art of the Madvillainy album, photographed by Eric Coleman and Jeff Lank in 2003.

Squashies Competition

Recently, I participated in a competition held by the Swizzels sweet company. The task was to create something that relates Squashies to summer, or to summer activities(My mum suggested that Squashies on skateboards would be funny)

My short animation was declared the winning entry, so I won the grand prize of a year’s supply of Squashies and £1000.

Thanks to the Swizzels for creating the competition. I enjoyed making the animation , as it was a fun challenge trying to make the squashies move in an entertaining way.

Here are some signs I made for the outdoor play area of a Manchester primary school.

Donnie Darko

Last year, Donnie Darko, one of my favourite films, had it’s 15th anniversary. I decided that I would draw a picture of the main characters. However, I didn’t finish the drawing and I forgot about it. Today, I finally watched the Directors Cut of the film so I decided to finally complete the artwork. So here is my (year late) tribute to the 2001 film Donnie Darko.

Batman

A while ago, I drew this picture of Batman, since then I forgot about it. So I decided to upload it for your viewing. The style is supposed to be similar to the art of Tim Sale, and Batman’s belt is supposed to look like the belts worn by Helboy, drawn by Mike Mignola.

The Lost Boys

I recently watched The Lost Boys, and since it is celebrating it’s 30th anniversary today, I thought that I would draw the main villain ,David(Kiefer Sutherland), to celebrate this event.

Merry Christmas 2016!

While I have not made anything to publish this christmas, I would still like to wish everyone a happy holiday. I hope that everyone is having a nice relaxing day after this difficult year. There’s nothing to say except merry christmas and a happy new year!

Work in Progress

Just because I haven’t posted in a while, I thought I’d do an update. I am working on a zombie claymation. Unfortunately I have been very lazy, so I haven’t made much progress for a while. I have had this problem before, as I never completed the lego batman or the veldt animations because I was too lazy. I am still determined to finish this project. Just to give you an idea, here is the set and camera( ipad) setup.

The Riddler (2.0)

I took one of my drawings of the DC comics character, The Riddler, and added some extr detail. His costume is based on The Riddler’s appearance in Batman:The Long Halloween.
